Walking Dead 7×15 Review

Each week fans of the Walking Dead end up saying the same thing after each episode, “next week is gonna be insane.” After watching this week’s episode I couldn’t help but skip over appreciating the episode I just watched and go straight to wanting to watch the finale next week. This week was a solid episode though, starting with the group planning to take the oceanside group’s weapons for their fight against Negan. We then see a boat of walkers crashed on shore so finally the only threat will not be just other people. For over a season now walkers haven’t had as big of an impact as they used to and I’m hoping we get back to them being a greater threat. Maggie then teaches the hilltop how to farm as the shittiest character of all time, Gregory, watches in suspicion. As Maggie went outside of the Hilltop to bring plants back Gregory stood over her with a knife considering killing her then as a walker came about he had to cower behind a pregnant woman to save his life like the pussy he is. Week after week I pray to see Gregory die and hopefully next week my wish will come true. We also get to see Sasha and Negan interact and how Negan would use her to get to the group and attack them. Saha pretends to cry to Eugene that she wants to kill herself hoping he brings her a knife or sharp object so she can kill Negan. Eugene really falls off as a shitty character when he makes Sasha a pill so she can die painlessly, which ruins her plan.

Of course in every episode there has to be a shitty subplot each week and this week’s happened to be Tara and her relationship with the oceanside group. I enjoyed seeing Rick and the group infiltrate their community in the woods and take their weapons, but I did not care for Tara’s involvement. Rick managed to get the weapons he needed, but wasn’t able to convince the oceanside group to help in their war against the saviors. As Rick prepares for all out war, Gregory plans to meet with Negan about Maggie, Sasha has to figure out her next move, and Rick’s allies move their forces to Alexandria.

Now, for the best scene of the week, Rick arrives home with the others to see Rosita return from her suicide mission without Sasha. She did not come back to Alexandria alone though, when she reveals she has Dwight in a cell. Dwight claims he wants to help with their war, Rick seems hesitant but asks him if he wants to help. Dwight says yes and Rick does his most badass moment of the season by pulling out his gun and saying “Ok, get on your knees.” The Walking Dead will finish its 7th season next week with what looks like one of the best finales the show has ever had. As for episode 15, I give it a 8.5 and look forward to the finale.
